The theme of this paper is the evaluation of Turkey joining the European Union. The analysis is based on a compilation of stages of European integration of Turkey, starting with signing an association agreement and ending with current prognosis as a result of the accession negotiations. The aim of this paper is a comparison of the conditions in the context of the community in view of the prospects of Turkish membership. Interpretation is done through a case study using available literature and online sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important part of the paper is devoted to the explanation of an analytical hierarchical model (AHP) based on the subject of work. The study yielded answers to questions about the most important benefits and costs that the European Union could achieve by expanding the group of Associated States to Turkey. The study was conducted among lecturers and students of the Institute of Turkology at the Jagiellonian University. The work focused on the specific conditions affecting the diversified stages of cooperation. The text is a summary of the most frequently encountered difficulties in the accession process and Member States\u2019 views on Turkish membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
